Heidi Rodeback—pianist, organist, and teacher—performs frequently on the Utah Valley musical scene. Recent engagements include the Utah Children’s Choir, the Utah Wind Symphony, and the Utah Valley Interfaith Choir.
As a pianist, Heidi studied with her mother, Kay Gardner Hancock, a highly regarded teacher in the Seattle area, and completed post-graduate work at the Colby College Piano Institute, where she performed in master classes with Anthony di Bonaventura.
As an organist, Heidi holds certification as a Colleague in the American Guild of Organists. She serves as organist at the Orem Community Congregational United Church of Christ and has logged more than thirty-five years in service as ward and stake organist for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I have taught piano since 1987 and organ since 2016. I love teaching because it allows me to share my enthusiasm not only for the music, but also for the breakthroughs that happen every day on the bench.
Music is so much more than notes! Music is about learning how to learn, how to work, how to listen, and most importantly, learning to express the beauty we possess inside.
